  • Quick Post

I don't really have anything to blog about today. I've been trying to think of something, but haven't been able to think of anything to blog about. I've been taking pictures of my items for my online store. Some pictures of new items and others that I want to replace with better pictures.

I'm going to bed very soon since I'm getting up early. The book signing is today and it runs from noon until 3pm. I have some other places to go after the book signing so I will have a busy day ahead of me.
I hope you all have a nice weekend.
  • Giant Gold Fish

The other day I watched a video about gold fish in Lake Tahoe. Gold fish have been in the water there since the 1990s. But in 2011, a gold fish was found in the fish that was around 14 inches and 3 pounds. Since then, more giant gold fish have been found.

That is a picture you will see on the video. That gold fish is huge! I never thought gold fish could get that so big.
  • My Day Out

Yesterday my boyfriend and I went into town. He had to drop off an application to Subway and after that, we went to look at the shops. There is a new candy store that opened in my town and we stopped in there to look around. They have some good looking candy. We both got a cake pop and they were yummy.
We stopped in at another store, which is sort of like a flea market type store. I wanted to see what books they had as there is a book I'm looking for and I wanted to see if they had a copy of it. They didn't, so we left. We stopped in at the video game store for a few minutes, just look around. Then, we went to the book store called Pages, so I could check for that book. They didn't have it either. After that, we spent the rest of our time in town at the library.
I checked at the library's book store too, but didn't find the book there either. I did find Fairest by Gail Carson Levine and bought that. While we were at the library, I borrowed a few DVDs and a book. It was a nice.
Want a cup of bunny? lol :)
I just found this picture and had to share it.
Hope everyone else is having a good week so far.
  • Random Stuff

I'm not sure what to blog about today, so it will just be a random post.

Soon I will be ordering business cards. The first design is the one I'll be ordering and I want to thank you all for helping me choose. I'm thinking of ordering some address labels as well, but I'm not sure yet. I also want to get to work on a new flyer soon as well.
I've been making some Dreamcatcher earrings. I finished the new Dreamcatcher necklace I've posted about before but I'm going to make some earrings to go along with it. Once they are finished, I will post pictures. I am really excited about this necklace. It is my own design. The idea for it just came to me one day.
This Saturday I'm going to Comix Connection in York. Brian Keene will be there and I am taking my copy of Dark Hollow to get it signed. I'm excited to go. It'll be the second time I've met Brian Keene.
Not much else has been happening with me. Just writing, reading, making crafts and trying to find more ways to promote my business.
What has everyone else been up to?
  • Best Dream

Last week's question on @TheWeeklyQuestion is: "Best dream you've ever had? Can you remember it?"

It's hard to pick only one as the best as I've had a number of dreams that could be considered that.
But there is a dream that I had in 2010, I believe it was during the summer. I had sent Diana Wynne Jones a letter, letting her know how she has inspired me and she is the reason I began to write again. Also letting her know she was in my thoughts and I was sending her well wishes.
Not long after that, I had a dream about her. She invited me into her houses and we talked for a very long time. I can't remember what she said, but I have a strong feeling that she was encouraging me with my writing. She was very kind and always smiling. It was almost magic to be in her home talking with her.
It is definitely one of the best dreams I've ever had and it is one I'll never forget. From the day I became a fan of hers, I wanted to meet her and tell her how she has inspired me. Of course now, I can't meet her. She passed away in March of 2011. But she did know about her inspiring me, I made sure to let her in my letter.
However, I feel that I did sort of meet her. Perhaps not physically, but in my dream I did and it was wonderful.
  • Business Cards

I'm going to order some business cards from vista print soon, but I don't know which one to pick. So, I've made a few and I'd like everyone's help to pick one.

Which one do you like the best?
I'm also going to be redesigning the flyer I made to hang on boards. I don't think I'm the best when it comes to designing flyers, but I'm going to try and make a new and better one.
  • Comic Books

My mom has some comic books she wants to sell and I do as well. I don't know much about comic books, don't know where to find out the values and such. So, I was wondering if anyone on here knows much about comic books. Or at least knows of some really good websites to find out how much comic books are worth.

    Any help will be appreciated.
  • Valentines Day

Well, today is Valentines Day. I don't really have any plans. I'll give my boyfriend his gifts and we'll probably just spend the day at home together. Most likely we'll watch TV and play some video games together.

I hope you all will have a nice Valentines Day.
Happy Valentines Day to everyone :)
  • Book Recommendations: I Know What You Did Last Summer

I Know What You Did Last Summer
Book: I Know What You Did Last Summer

    Author: Lois Duncan

    Pages: 224

    Original Publication Date: 1973
Julie, Ray, Helen and Barry have all tried to move on, to forget about what happened. But it seems that what happened the previous summer can't be erased. Julie is the first to realize this when she receives a letter that says: "I know what you did last summer."
She can't believe that someone knows what happened and the others can't either. They try to find explanations, but they realize soon that there is none. Someone knows what they did and they could all be in danger.
I know there is a movie based on this book. I've never seen it, but I have wanted to read the book for quite a while. I don't think I will be seeing the movie because I know it will do no justice to Lois Duncan's book.
This book is intense, suspenseful and a real page-turner. I couldn't wait to find out what happened next. Julie and Ray are good characters. They want to do the right thing, but are just afraid. I like Helen too, but at times she did frustrate. What I will say though, is that she does stick by those she loves. Barry is the most who frustrated me the most. Barry was all about himself, but even in the end, he had a heart too.
Overall, great book. I couldn't put it down.
  • Gold Dreamcatcher

    Gold/Yellow Dreamcatcher

I just added this Dreamcatcher to my store yesterday. It is a 10 inch hoop and it is the first, so far the only, 10 inch Dreamcatcher I have in my store. The leather is kind of a gold color, which I really like. Light brown feathers and webbing go along nice with it, as well as white and brown beads.
You can find it in my store here: http://tsalagi_phoenix.webstore.com
I'm making a few small dropped web Dreamcatchers to add. I'll post pictures once I'm finished. I listed a blue dropped web Dreamcatcher about a week or two ago and it sold a few days ago.
I believe I posted a picture of it a while back, but here is the one that sold:
    Blue Dreamcatcher
If you know anyone that wants a Dreamcatcher, make sure to show them my store. I'll really appreciate it.
